WAY, Widening Advancements for Youth, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Public Charity organization founded in 2009 by Beth Baker and Glen Taylor to provide a personalized learning experience for all students. WAY manages a network of public charter schools including WAY Michigan.
Founded in 2014, WAY Michigan serves grades 6-12 across the state of Michigan. WAY Michigan is a tuition-free public charter school serving students and their families through an online learning model. Our school is authorized by Central Michigan University according to the Michigan Revised School Code.
WAY Michigan's mission is to deliver a blended global learning model to encourage positive self-esteem, academic excellence, and life-long learning for young people.
WAY's Michigan vision is to offer a personalized approach to education; one that encourages self-esteem, independence, and the development of 21st century global and career skills. We aim to make every young person a hero.
