Engaging Student and Preparing for Virtual Graduation at WAY Michigan

As June nears it is time to reflect on the past year and get ready to celebrate the class of 2020 as they prepare for their post-secondary life. The students at W-A-Y Michigan have been excited to participate in our first-ever virtual graduation ceremony. The staff at W-A-Y Michigan have been collaborating to create a digital slideshow with recorded speeches from the Superintendent, Board of Education, and the class speaker. As we reflect on the past year, we have many things to celebrate.

Watch the WAY Michigan Virtual Graduation Class of 2020 Today!

WAY Michigan is excited to announce our first ever Virtual Graduation. The graduation ceremony will take place via Zoom on June 24th from 4:00pm to 4:30pm. We are excited to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating class of 2020. We will be posting a recording of the slideshow presentation after the meeting has been completed for those that are unable to attend. Below is the Zoom Link for those wishing to attend is inside.

Special board meeting to happen on June 17, at 5p.m.

The Board of Directors of WAY Michigan, a public school academy, will conduct a virtual special hearing on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom app. The purpose of the meeting is to present the proposed 2020-2021 General Fund Budget. Copies of the budget are available at the same location.

WAY Academies Superintendent: "We are successful in supporting our students based on their unique needs"

The WAY Academies Superintendent, Madeline Black, was invited to speak during the Charter Day online event for charter schools in Michigan on May 13, 2020.
