Test Preparation at WAY Michigan

Test Preparation at WAY Michigan

It is never too early to work on improving your test-taking skills. At WAY Michigan we offer two programs, Khan Academy and Method Test Prep, for students to participate in to build their test-taking skills throughout the school year. Method Test Prep is a free program that is connected to their student Xello account. For Khan Academy, students can create a free account to access the test preparation course. A course has been created for WAY Michigan students to register for so we can track their progress. Additionally, if they have taken the PSAT before they can connect to their scores from College Board for additional support. Below is a brief description of the programs:

  1. Method Test Prep- This program is a part of their Xello account. When students log in to Xello on their homepage they will find the link for Method Test Prep under the links and resources section. This program provides 73 activities that work on improving test skills in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.    The last two units include full-length practice tests for students to take. Their progress on these activities can be tracked by our office staff that manage our Xello accounts.
  2. Khan Academy- This website provides a free test preparation course. The WAY Michigan class code is USWBZDJ2. The activities are individualized to help improve reading, writing, and math skills. Students have the opportunity to connect their College Board account or take a diagnostic test to evaluate their current skill level. This program offers up to 8 full-length practice tests.
